The Regina City Council recently approved $229M in capital spending for the 2025 budget. Capital expenditures were approved in advance of the official budget to allow current projects to continue to receive funding at the start of the new year.

The provincial government is providing $250,000 toward operating expenses at CentrePort Canada, a tri-modal inland port and foreign trade zone located in Winnipeg and the Rural Municipality of Rosser. These funds will be used primarily for promoting and marketing the port.

BC Ferries has submitted a plan to the BC Ferries Commissioner to replace four of its vessels and add one new ship to increase its transportation capacity. If approved, the ships are expected to be fully operational by 2031. The tourism and trucking industries also expect to see benefits from the new ships. The project is expected to create 1.35K jobs in the province.
