The Faubourg de la Comtesse, a residential construction project, is starting the second of three phases in Sorel-Tracy. The new phase, which is valued at around $10M, will add 56 homes in around 30 lots.
TBC Fabrication, a modular assembly company, is investing $18M in building a new plant in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The Government of Quebec is providing $6.5M for the project, which will be completed by January 2025 and require 50 workers.
Nano One Materials, a company specializing in lithium-ion batteries, received $18M from the Government of Quebec to convert its Candiac facilities into a pilot plant that will be more automated and less polluting
The Ville de Sorel-Tracy will build a refrigerated outdoor rink thanks to $2.6M in funding from the BLEU BLANC BOUGE Foundation. In addition, the municipality is investing around $3M in improving the facilities.
The Office d’habitation de Longueuil is moving forward with the second phase of the AccèsLogis Saint-Roch project, which is valued at $14M. The municipality contributed to the project by covering the land decontamination cost, valued at $826,000.
The Ville de Sorel-Tracy announced the construction of its aquatic complex, which will begin in early 2025. The project, valued at nearly $44M, is receiving $26M in funding from the federal and provincial governments. The project should be complete in 2027.
