Edifia Groupe Immobilier, a property management firm, began construction on a 134-unit residential rental building in Domaine Luxuor, an ecodistrict in Saguenay. The $45M project will be complete in early 2026.
The Office municipal d’habitation du Saguenay began construction on Les Îlots du Royaume, a 24-unit affordable housing project in Saguenay. The $8.5M project is mainly funded by the municipality and the Government of Quebec.
The Place du Progrès, a building with 114 rental units, will be built in Saguenay. The $40M project is scheduled to be complete in 2026. The developers are prioritizing the use of environmentally friendly materials to construct the residential building.
The Ville de Saguenay will begin work this fall to develop the area near the Arvida Aluminium Bridge. The Government of Quebec and Rio Tinto, an aluminum smelter, are contributing to the project. The project, valued at over $4M, is scheduled to be complete in 2026.
Two developers, Mathieu Thibeault and Éric Claveau, are investing over $16M in building 68 rental condo units in Saguenay. Two general contractors, Constructec and Claveau et fils inc., will carry out the project by 2025.
Groupe Coderr, a company that collects waste and recyclables, is investing $5.4M in a project with 60 affordable housing units called Les Habitations Coderr in Alma. The $18M project, which is being funded by the three levels of government, will be ready in 2026.
