*Job Summary* We have an immediate opening for an *Estimator *based out of our office in Hamilton, Ontario. This position will require some traveling. The Estimator will be responsible for supporting the Director by providing estimating support, engineering drawings review, conduct site visits and project management. *Required Education, Skills and Qualifications* - Degree or Diploma in Civil/Construction Engineering (preferred) - 2-5 years experience with a GC within the commercial/residential construction industry - Experience handling renovation projects valued up to $2m - Willingness to travel; a valid driver?s license is required - Good understanding of building drawings and specifications - Responsible for accurately calculating the final estimated project cost, ensuring to cover all costs which may occur while preforming the job. Project costs include but not limited to: necessary materials, labour and equipment cost that is required to successfully carry out a construction project according to proposals, plans, estimates and specifications. - Professionally prepares contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, general contractors, suppliers and subcontractors, provides to chief estimator for approval before submitting. - Ability to provide simultaneous support for needs across multiple projects in varying phases - Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills are critical, along with exceptional time management and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills, both orally and written - Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams and levels in the organization - Proficient in various MS computer applications *Company Profile* Newfore Inc. is a General Contractor servicing Hamilton, ON. We specialize in renovation work in the commercial and residential industries. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift Experience: * Estimating: 1 year (required) * Renovations: 1 year (required) * construction estimating: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: * G Class License (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2022-01-31- LocationHamilton, ON
