*Position Overview:*
As an Electrician in our manufacturing company, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within our manufacturing facility. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, helping to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
*Key Responsibilities:*
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switches, to identify hazards, defects, or malfunctions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, utilizing testing devices and diagnostic equipment to pinpoint issues accurately.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, replacing worn components, and tightening connections to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, minimizing disruption to production schedules.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Document maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inspection reports, to maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities.
Provide guidance and support to junior electricians and apprentices, sharing knowledge and expertise to facilitate their professional development.
Stay informed about advancements in electrical technology and best practices, participating in training programs and professional development activities as necessary.
Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures, to minimize downtime and ensure the continuity of manufacturing operations.
*Qualifications:*
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
Journeyman or master electrician license required.
Proven experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and regulations, including the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
PLC, Robotic & CNC knowledge an asset.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and convey technical information clearly.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and climbing.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, as needed.

Our maintenance department is currently seeking Licensed 309A and 442A- Industrial Electricians. Employee must be available to work shifts and have experience in a high volume, high paced industry.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $34.33-$37.00 per hour
