Accounting, finance and insurance - Partially remote - We are seeking an organized Junior Project Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves project billing and reconciliation in support of our Project Managers This team member also ensures proper GAAP adherence, timely revenue and expense recognition, and is integral in the month end process. This is an entry level role with opportunity for growth and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, international environment. Responsibilities - Supports our Performance Solutions business with client project billing in its entirety on a day-to-day and weekly basis- Expenses-Perform the 3-way match process to ensure accuracy between purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices- Review and process vendor invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and timely payment.- Understands and applies billing and revenue recognition processes and practices- Supports the preparation of client invoices- Supports answering account management questions related to client invoices- Participates in cross functional training to provide support and backup for team members including invoicing- Supports the initiative to strengthen and maintain efficiency of the accounting function by performing processes and procedures per policies laid out- Supports accounting system implementations and integrations while maintaining accuracy and integrity of data- Prepares other ad hoc reports and analysis as assigned- Performs other duties as assignedQualifications- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.- Experience in resolving discrepancies in financial transactions.Benefits- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Opportunities for professional growth.- Collaborative and innovative work environment.- Part of an international group.About Altavia North AmericaAltavia North America is an equal-opportunity employer.
