*Position Overview*
We are looking for a dedicated part-time Communication Disorders Assistant to join our Ottawa clinic. In this role, you will contribute to our private speech-language pathology (SLP) practice by delivering personalized services under the supervision of our skilled SLP team.

*Position Type*
· Part-time, permanent
· 15 - 22.5 hours per week
*Location*
The candidate will work out of the following locations:
· 106 Colonnade Rd., Nepean
· 2713 Lancaster Rd., Ottawa
· 50 Frank Nighbor Pl., Kanata
· May be required to travel to client homes for service delivery and support
*Salary and Benefits*
· $26.01 - $28.62 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
· Earn vacation pay at a rate of 4% of your total earnings, paid out with each paycheck.

· Dedicated Therapy Spaces: Work in dedicated offices and treatment rooms for effective Speech-Language Therapy.
*Key Responsibilities*
· Work under the supervision of a regulated healthcare professional (SLP, OT, etc.)
· Implement speech and language therapy plans in clinic, home, and/or community settings under the supervision of a registered Speech-Language Pathologist as part of the private practice team.
· Create motivating and engaging therapy activities to target goals, based on each client?s needs and interests.
· Collaborate with the supervising SLP to adapt therapy plans to each client?s needs
· Support pediatric clients with communication challenges, including joint attention and engagement, early language skills, speech sound disorders, AAC, and literacy needs.
· Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members as required to best support clients.
· Follow all procedures related to intake, documentation, and discharge or clients.
· Maintain strict client confidentiality, including safely maintaining client files.
*Requirements*
· Communication Disorders Assistant diploma
· Experience working directly with autistic or neurodivergent children is an asset
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
· Ability to work independently and co-operatively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
· The ability to provide service in both English and French is preferred.
· A successful Vulnerable Sector screen.
· Valid driver?s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
