Join our team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and play a critical role in helping individuals achieve their goals and improve their daily lives. As an OTA, you will be executing personalized treatment plans designed by a Registered Occupational Therapist. Under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives and watch as they reach new levels of independence and satisfaction. Responsibilities: * Implement tailored treatment programs created by Occupational Therapists, including activities such as feeding, dressing, cognitive groups, and assistive device training. * Provide assistance with daily living activities. * Contribute to group work and assist with patient transfers as necessary. * Ensure a safe, hygienic, and well-stocked treatment environment. * Keep accurate records of patient progress and workload statistics. * Communicate effectively with clients, families, interdisciplinary team members, external agencies, and vendors. * Work collaboratively with clients/families and the interdisciplinary team to deliver client-centered, goal-oriented, evidence-based, and results-driven care. * Respect clients' and families' rights to make decisions based on their personal values, beliefs, and experiences. * Collaborate with clients/families to plan, execute, and evaluate care plans. Candidates will be considered based on the following qualifications: * Graduated from a recognized and accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. * Preference given to candidates with background in clinical and community rehabilitation setting. * Prior experience as an OT Assistant, under supervision of an Occupational Therapist, is an asset. * Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with various parties * Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational abilities. Rate pay: $25 to $30 per hour. Schedule: Day shift Ability to commute: * Ottawa and surrounding areas Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 80 per week Benefits: * Casual dress * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Work Location: On the road- LocationOttawa, ON
