The RCMP is requesting officers from other provinces to temporarily work in Manitoba from February to May 2025 to help address staffing shortages. The RCMP are also planning to post newly graduated cadets to Manitoba to support staffing needs. The shortage is compounded by a high number of investigations, including 58 homicides in Manitoba, leading to burnout among officers.
The Greater Victoria Hiring and Post-Secondary Education Expo is coming to the Bay Street Armoury on January 30, 2025. The free expo aims to connect job seekers and students with employers and educational institutions. Organizations such as BC Corrections, Sysco, and the Royal Canadian Navy will be present.
