Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate. Help pharmacists. Maintain prescription records . Prepare medications for clients. Set up and dismantle equipment. Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians. Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages. Clean and maintain equipment. Help with scheduling and workflow. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices. Bill third party insurers. Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams. Help patients complete menus. Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products. Assist dietitians with research in food, nutrition and food service systems. Clean and restore ocular prostheses. Interpret physician's specification. Advise patients on loss of depth perception. Repair and maintain fabrication and laboratory equipment. Order supplies and equipment. Schedule and confirm appointments. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Employment terms options: Shift.- Location Surrey, BCV3T 0A7
