Zone: Labrador Grenfell ZoneLocation: LWHC - Labrador City - Labrador West Health CenUtility Worker ILabrador Grenfell Zone - LWC HOUSEKEEPINGTemp Call-InNAPE HSHours: Variable Shifts (12 hours, 8 hours, Rotating, Other Shift, Shift Work; Days, Evenings, Nights, On-Call, Standby, Weekends)Salary: CG-19 (CAD20.86 - CAD22.51 per hour) plus applicable Labrador BenefitsCompetition Number: VAC0023125Posted Date: 2026-03-27Closing Date: Open until filled.About the Role Reporting to the Manager of Environmental/Laundry Services and/or designate, the primary purpose of this position is to maintain clean, sanitary, and safe environments in all Facilities or Accommodation areas operated (or rented) by Labrador Grenfell Health.Qualifications:High School GraduationSufficient physical strength and conditioning to perform extensive and continuing janitorial/custodial tasks.Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and to perform quality assurance reporting activities.Must have initiative and be able to work independently.Experience in janitorial work would be considered an assetKnowledge of the chemicals, cleaning practices, equipment and supplies used in the processes would be considered an assetA satisfactory Code of Conduct will be requiredThe successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.Duties: (Included but not limited to)Dry and wet mop floors; vacuum carpets; clean walls, furniture, fixed and selected non-fixed equipment as per daily, weekly and monthly schedules and as otherwise assigned;Operation of all equipment utilized within the department;Collect garbage as scheduled and as required;Cleaning/Disinfection of hard surfaces throughout the FacilitiesCleaning/Disinfection of Client/Resident?s rooms and other areas of facilities;Cleaning/Disinfection of Dirty Utility Room walls and floors;Ordering Housekeeping supplies;Other related duties as required.- Location Labrador City, NL
