*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and maintaining pharmacy operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, assisting with patient care and ensuring the accurate preparation of prescriptions. Prior experience in hospital or pharmacy settings is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures. *Responsibilities* * Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately * Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies as needed * Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision * Maintain detailed records of prescriptions, medication logs, and patient interactions * Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards within the pharmacy setting * Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims * Communicate effectively with patients regarding medication instructions and safety precautions *Experience* * Previous pharmacy assistant experience is preferred * Previous knowledge of kroll pharmacy software preferred * Knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care * Experience with medication administration processes is a plus * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team * Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is advantageous This position is integral to providing quality patient care and supporting pharmacy operations.
