*About Life After Burns* Life After Burns is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting burn survivors and their families through recovery, advocacy, and community programs. We are committed to empowering individuals to rebuild their lives with confidence and connection. *Position Summary* We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Student to join our team as a *Fundraising Organizer*. This role is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit work, event planning, and community engagement. You will help plan, coordinate, and promote fundraising initiatives that support our programs and services. *Key Responsibilities* * Assist in planning and organizing fundraising events and campaigns * Support donor outreach and community engagement efforts * Help manage event logistics, including scheduling, materials, and volunteers * Create and schedule social media and promotional content * Maintain donor databases and track fundraising progress * Assist with grant research and proposal preparation * Provide general administrative support to the team *Qualifications* * Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (or recent graduate) * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent organizational and time management abilities * Experience with social media platforms and basic marketing is an asset * Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace * Interest in nonprofit work, healthcare advocacy, or community service * Ability to work independently and as part of a team *Assets (Not Required)* * Experience in fundraising, event planning, or volunteer coordination * Knowledge of donor management systems * Graphic design or content creation skills *What You?ll Gain* * Hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and event planning * Opportunities to build professional networks * Meaningful work supporting burn survivors and their families * Skill development in communications, organization, and teamwork *Please note:* This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs grant. *Application Deadline:* May 6th, 2026 Job Types: Seasonal, Internship / Co-op Contract length: 9 weeks Pay: $17.60 per hour Expected hours: 30 per week Work Location: Hybrid remote in North York, ON M4A 1H2- Location North York, ON
