Our success is driven by our dynamic, highly-skilled, and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area's economy and sense of community.The Role: As a Saltwater Aquaculture Worker, you will be responsible for:Monitoring and operating the feeding systemsReporting any observed irregularities in stocksGrid installation and inspection/repairMarine cage and net installation and removalOperating, maintaining, and cleaning aquaculture equipment and enclosuresGeneral site maintenance, including net washingOperation of boats for aquaculture operationsGrading and weighing aquaculture stockPerforming harvest assistance as requiredQualifications/Requirements:Be a self-motivated team playerBe willing to work flexible work hours and schedulesHave the ability to work in outside weather conditions on aquaculture sites and/or aboard maintenance vesselsHold or be willing to obtain a Marine Emergency Duties (MED) certificateExperience within the aquaculture field considered an asset but not required as on-the-job training is providedThis is a labour-intensive position, requires standing for long periods of time, and applicants must be comfortable working in outside weather conditions on both aquaculture sites and aboard maintenance vesselsCompensation: Hourly wage is based on experience/education and begins at $18.54, complemented by a competitive health and dental benefit package.The Opportunity: The role description is just one part of the story.
