Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Conduct liquid penetrant inspection. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects. Interpret and document liquid penetrant inspection. Interpret conductivity meters and visual indicators. Interpret radiographs. Prepare surface for liquid penetrant inspection. Use electromagnetic eddy current testing methods. Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards. Calibrate, test and interpret ultrasonic equipment. Set up, calibrate, operate and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Instruct and supervise trainees. Maintain test result reports. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CWB Welding Inspector Certification Level 2. Nondestructive Testing Certificate. Testing equipment and methods: Liquid penetrant. Magnetic particle. Eddy current. Visual inspection. Nondestructive testing. Ultrasonic. Area of work experience: Construction. Large pressure vessels.
