I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area. <br>Our team of finance experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover the finance, accounting and payroll professions. <br> <br>I'm looking for an Accounts Receivable and Collection Specialist for my law firm client in the heart of downtown Montreal. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode after 1 month. <br> <br>Your responsibilities: <br> <br> Analyze and evaluate accounts receivable files and follow up on the monthly <br>monthly follow-up of accounts age report; <br> Recommend and plan actions to be taken to collect receivables; <br> Generate and send monthly statements and reminders to customers; <br> Communicate with customers and set up fee settlements; <br> Negotiate with customers to establish payment plans, if necessary; <br> Effectively communicate and follow up with customers and attorneys <br>account issues; <br> Provide financial reports and analysis of accounts receivable to management <br>management and the firm's lawyers, as well as any data required for decision-making <br>and make recommendations; <br> Evaluate and recommend provisions for bad debts; <br> Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as average payment time, outstanding <br>and suggest actions to improve efficiency; <br> Identify and implement practices to optimize the collection process <br>management process; <br> Participate in the annual audit process; <br> Respond to customer queries; <br> Participate in various Finance team projects; <br> Any other related tasks.</p><p>Experience and knowledge required : <br> <br> Hold a college diploma in administrative techniques / accounting <br>or equivalent; <br> A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in account collection, ideally in a professional <br>professional services environment; <br> Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English (for clients outside the Province of Quebec); <br> Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite including advanced knowledge of Excel. <br> <br>Skills required : <br> <br> Highly developed sense of customer service, listening skills and diplomacy; <br> Tact and self-control; <br> Analytical and organizational skills; <br> Negotiation and problem-solving skills; <br> Rigor, autonomy and a keen sense of priorities; <br> Ability to work under pressure.</p>
