Home to over 20 companies employing more than 300 New Brunswickers, YFC offers flights to Canadian hubs and sun destinations.More than just a transportation gateway, YFC is an interesting and dynamic place to work, a significant employer and a cornerstone of our region's economic vitality.In a large and complex facility such as an airport, with thousands independently moving parts and staff and people, the continuous supply of power is all-important to ensure the smooth running of the entire facility.We are currently seeking a certified journeyman electrician to join our team on a full-time basis.SummaryPositions: Airport Electrical Maintenance (AEM)Salary: $60,500 - $80,800Terms of Employment: Full time (40 hours per week); probation period of 6 monthsApplication deadline: March 21,2025What we're looking forThe successful candidate will have completed a formal apprenticeship or technical school training coupled with experience in the electrical construction and maintenance industry and be a certified journeyman electrician. Airport electrical experience would be an asset, but on-the-job training will be provided to familiarize the successful candidate with the airport's specialized electrical systems and regulations.This position requires a valid driver's licence, a security clearance, a restricted radio operator's permit and airside vehicle operator's permit.The successful candidate will:maintain the airport's electrical systems, equipment, and installations,support the management team to develop operational plans and budgets,ensure that safety comes first, andbe a flexible, positive, and dynamic team member!What's in it for you?YFC has an unwavering commitment to the safety of our employees and travellers, and people are the heart of our organization.
