Kinesis Medical Centre is a specialty medical clinic in Calgary composed of a group of 16 Physiatrists. Our core purpose is to restore function and quality of life in patients with musculoskeletal and peripheral nerve disorders.
We currently have an opening for a full-time medical Transcriptionist MOA.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting audio recordings into written text with high accuracy and attention to detail. This role requires excellent listening skills, proficiency in typing, and the ability to work independently. The Transcriptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring that all transcriptions are completed promptly while maintaining the integrity of the original content.
Responsibilities
* Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into written documents.
* Ensure accuracy and clarity in all transcriptions, adhering to formatting guidelines.
* Review and edit transcripts for grammatical errors, punctuation, and overall readability.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information contained within audio files.
* Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for multiple transcription projects.
* Communicate with team members regarding project updates and any issues encountered during transcription.
Skills
* Exceptional listening skills with the ability to comprehend various accents and dialects.
* Strong typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute.
* Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
* Familiarity with transcription software and tools is a plus.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members.
*What you will bring:*
Medical Office Administration education or equivalent work-related experience, preferably with a minimum of 2 years of experience

Excellent Time Management and Organizational skills
· Previous medical office experience is required.
· Must understand HIA & Confidentiality.
· Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records required
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
· Collaborate as an active participant with others in assisting with the delivery of care to patients
· Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
