We offer gratitude to the Skwxwú7mesh People who have lived on these lands since time immemorial.Assistant Manager of Facilities Permanent Full-Time We are seeking an Assistant Manager of Facilities to be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance and repair of the District?s facilities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can work with the Manager of Facilities to set objectives and create strategies for the effective maintenance and operations of District facilities. In addition, the Assistant Manager will coordinate and oversee ongoing projects and provide leadership and direction to the Facilities staff. This dynamic and technical position would suit candidates with strong problem-solving abilities and a safety-conscious mindset. What we?re looking for: A dedicated and motivated leader who is passionate about assisting in leading, directing, motivating and evaluating Facilities staff, to create a high performing team to meet organizational objectives and work within the organization?s core values. A safety champion who prioritizes health and safety, recognizing that safety is beyond the absence of reportable incidents; and who understands that a safe workplace is related to the presence of capacity to do work safely in complex variable environments. A knowledgeable problem-solver who can understand the mechanical aspects of new building systems, and to look for opportunities to upgrade existing mechanical systems. An innovative thinker who strives to do better every day, and who has experience in creating strategies for the effective maintenance and operations of facilities. A proponent of efficient service, for whom delivering outstanding service is second nature when collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. A people person who acts with courage and enthusiasm and possesses superior ability to develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships.If you have three years? experience in building maintenance and two years? experience in managing people, as well as a relevant degree or diploma, we would love to hear from you!
