*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner who is already approved or planning on applying to the Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Program (NPPCP) and wants to have their practice and accept a panel of patients in a family practice clinic along side primary care physicians and other team members.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a community based primary care facility in the Callingwood area in West Edmonton.
This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively with a diversity of patients concerns including, but not limited to - pain management issues, dementia, chronic illnesses, multiple morbidities, women's health, men's health, etc.
*Responsibilities*
* Assess and monitor patient health by performing physical examinations and taking medical histories.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and preferences.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
* Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner or Epic.
* Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times.
* Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
* Experience with Med Access ideal but not necessary, we can train.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and team members.
* Ability to work effectively with children, adults and the aging population while demonstrating adaptability in various caregiving situations.

Pay: $231,662.00-$361,144.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
