<p>SUMMARY OF THE POSITION<br>Person who is responsible for one or more programs or projects with the aim of providing professional assistance in the development of services, in particular by advising, monitoring or supporting various actors in one or more programs or projects.<br>The incumbent ensures the research activities necessary for the identification and evaluation of resources and needs. They design and propose development plans and programs to ensure adequate planning of services. They provide advice regarding the implementation or improvement of programs and/or services. They can participate in various teaching and training activities.</p><p>Under the direction of the Coordinator of Complimentary Services and Programs, the incumbent has the responsibility to develop and implement the traditional medicine file and support the development and implementation of the file. The incumbent will research and summarize traditional healing approaches literature and programs. The incumbent will also support the development and implementation of best practices of traditional medicine file, tools and training, and support individuals, teams, departments and services in their application. </p><p>SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS* Applies leading practices and recognized techniques related to collection and adaptation of traditional medicine, best practices reflecting Cree values, traditions and concepts;* Identifies opportunities for improvement and develops strategies based on leading practices to address traditional medicine, improve quality of services and work relationships; * Collaborates in the development, implementation and improvement of the Nishiiyuu Miyupimaatisiiun framework;* Collaborates in the development, implementation and improvement of traditional medicine related policies and procedures and reviews CBHSSJB documentation through a traditional healing lens; * Collaborates in the development, implementation and improvement of related training, webinars, tools and resources (eg. toolbox); * Collaborates with the team in the on-going development and delivery of Traditional Medicine to directors, managers, employees and professionals in the organization; * Collaborates with other CBHSSJB Departments and other Cree entities and initiatives to further promote traditional Medicine;* Supports development and presentation of quarterly traditional Medicine reports for presentation to the Board of Directors;* Ensures the management of human resources, material, information and financial resources for the projects and trainings under her/his supervision, where applicable; * Provides support to individuals, teams, departments and services in the application of the above;* All other tasks required by the immediate supervisor.</p><p>REQUIREMENTS<br>Education: * Bachelor's degree in a health, social work, social sciences, administration sciences or in another appropriate discipline.<br>Experience:</p><ul><li>Three (3) years of Nishiiyuu Miyupimaatisiiun related program delivery or planning experience or an equivalent combination of knowledge and experience, based upon association with Traditional knowledge and Activities may be considered;</li></ul><p>Knowledge and abilities:</p><ul><li>Holder of Traditional Eenou/Eeyou Traditional Knowledge and holistic healing practices, at a level appropriate to program development planning;</li><li>Extensive knowledge of Cree culture and language; proven ability or potential to be effective in a Cree environment;</li><li>Knowledge of current First Nation Traditional Holistic Health and Healing models, trends and issues, across the country and internationally;</li><li>Ability in the identification and analysis of the Nishiiyuu Miyupimaatissiun program needs of Community Residents, and knowledge of related issues;</li><li>Ability in Nishiiyuu Miyupimaatisiiun program planning and monitoring, including the development of policies and program manuals and quality assurance systems;</li><li>Good record in a
