*Job Summary* We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a home care environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. The Healthcare Assistant will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. *Duties* * Provide direct patient care, including assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. * Assist with meal preparation and ensure that dietary needs are met for each patient. * Support patients with mobility challenges by providing physical assistance and encouragement. * Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following health and safety protocols. * Document patient progress and report any concerns to nursing staff or healthcare providers. * Engage with patients to provide companionship and emotional support, enhancing their quality of life. * Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized care plans for each patient. *Requirements* * Previous experience in patient care, hospice care, or senior care is preferred but not mandatory. * Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. * Ability to work compassionately with individuals who have disabilities or require special assistance. * Basic knowledge of caregiving practices, including meal preparation and personal hygiene techniques. * Graduate of an accredited College with credentials/certification. * Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations. * First Aid Certification.
