Job Description: Shift work Noisy and dusty environment 40 hours/ week Medical and dental Duties: compute dimensions and tolerances, cut, modify, adjust, correct and repair rolling dies for cold threading machines used in manufacture of fasteners. Verify parts for conformance Inspect and test final products in the machines Job Requirements and required skills: minimum 5 years experience as a forging dies maker, in particular rolling dies used in cold threading machines. Being able to set up the cold threading machines to test the dies. reading blueprints manual dexterity, attention to detail, some lifting, work in standing position. Required tools: steel toe safety shoes. MUST INSTRUCT APRENTICES Start date: immediately Position Type: full time, permanent Years of experience required 5 years Education: high school or equivalent Trade certificates: machinist cert or equivalent tool and die maker cert of equivalent Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: starting at $33.00/hr Experience: * Tool and Die: 5 years (Preferred) Location: * Surrey, BC (Preferred) Language: * English (Required) work station is solitary Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $36.57 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * English not required * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Application question(s): * have you ever set up a fasteners threading machine Experience: * Tool and Die: 3 years (required) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2021-11-17- LocationSurrey, BC
