The Plant Manager is an engaged, hands-on leader, overseeing operations through close collaboration with the team while providing positive, influence-driven leadership.</p><p></p><p>As a change agent, the Manager promotes a culture of discipline and continuous improvement, ensuring a balanced, harmonious, and collaborative work environment. The Manager is also tasked with developing and recommending operational budgets to maximize both short- and long-term production capacity while minimizing exposure to economic and environmental risks.</p><p></p><p><b>Strategic Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><span>Lead improvement initiatives to foster a workplace health and safety culture and enhance the stability of manufacturing operations.</span></li><li>Measure and monitor operational performance against key performance indicators and standards.</li><li>Develop, plan, execute, and control actions necessary to achieve the objectives under their responsibility.</li><li>Participate in the development of the organization's global strategies, integrating operational realities within their factory.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Operational Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Regularly conduct floor walks to maintain proximity with employees.</li><li><span>Foster a robust health and safety culture across all operations.</span></li><li>Structure operations in their sector to ensure the efficiency and performance of invested resources.</li><li>Plan, lead, and support operational activities.</li><li>Guide team leaders in their professional development.</li><li>Ensure the development, implementation, monitoring, and compliance of standardized operational and cleanliness procedures.</li><li>Optimize the efficiency, productivity, and performance of equipment to meet set objectives.</li><li>Monitor team performance to ensure strict adherence to operational and quality standards.</li><li>Actively p<span>articipate in quality audits or other relevant assessments.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Management of Human, Material, and Financial Resources:</b></p><ul><li><span>Act as a leader by mentoring the team, fostering a continuous improvement culture, and positively driving change management in collaboration with the People & Culture team.</span></li><li>Collaborate with the People & Culture team to develop a succession plan that guides and fosters employee development.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills and Competencies:</b></p><ul><li><span>Demonstrates strong leadership by mobilizing people, inspiring employee engagement, and earning trust.</span></li><li>Demonstrates rigor and inspires others to follow their example.</li><li>Proven expertise in change management.</li><li>Significant experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the food processing or other high-volume, fast-paced sectors.</li><li>Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (an asset) and continuous improvement practices.</li><li>Exceptional analytical skills and strong ability to synthesize information.</li><li>Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.</li><li>Results-oriented at all times.</li><li>Strong problem-solving ability and rapid, informed decision-making.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and oversee teams.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Give meaning to your career and help us m- LocationCalgary, AB
