*Position Summary*
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities and construction equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various systems.
_Preference will be given _to _candidates with a __*Journeyman Electrician *__qualification._

*Key Competencies*
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, making necessary repairs or adjustments
- Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with other team member to complete projects and tasks efficiently
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and document repairs
- Occasional plumbing repair work may be required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Ability to fabricate or weld parts as needed for repairs or modifications considered an asset
*Requirements*
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) an asset
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills when interacting with internal stakeholders and some external clients, as needed
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively within a small team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00-$40.00 per hour
