*Job Description* *Position Title: *Sales Representative *Location: *Abbotsford, BC *Employment Type:* Full-time (on-site) | Part-time considered for highly qualified candidates (25-30 hours/week) *Start Date: *February 1, 2025 Compensation: $30 - $50 per hour, with a performance review after 90 days *Role Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Sales Representative to join our team at a new nursery in Abbotsford, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling plants, including trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals, as well as gardening products and services to individual and business clients. This is an on-site position that involves customer interactions, order management, and coordinating delivery schedules. In the longer term, the successful candidate will contribute to building a dedicated sales and marketing team, lead marketing initiatives, participate in trade shows and exhibitions, and assist in managing the nursery?s social media presence. Key Responsibilities: ? Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster repeat business and loyalty. ? Promote and sell a diverse range of plants and gardening products to individual and business customers. ? Process customer orders and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment. ? Support the development and execution of marketing strategies, including participating in trade shows and maintaining the company?s social media presence. ? Monitor market trends and customer needs to provide valuable input for business development, marketing, and planning strategies. ? Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly. *Qualifications:* ? Minimum of one year of sales or retail experience (preferred). ? Strong self-motivation, adaptability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced startup environment. ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ? Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills. ? Proficiency in multitasking, time management, and working independently to achieve sales goals and objectives. ? Basic computer skills; experience with POS systems is an asset. ? Familiarity with spreadsheet and word processing software. ? Knowledge of plants and gardening products, particularly varieties that thrive in BC and surrounding regions, is preferred but can be learned on the job. ? High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. ? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors. *Additional Information:* ? Some driving may be required. ? The role has an outdoor component, especially during peak seasons (March to July). ?
