The Engineering, Parks and Environment Department (Engineering Operations) requires a Regular Full-time Assistant Supervisor, Operations - Streets, Sidewalks. You will participate and assist in the planning and assigning of work of a small group of subordinates engaged in sidewalk construction and maintenance tasks such as grading and preparing sites for new sidewalks, traffic control, sign installation and maintenance, carpentry work, road markings and related construction and maintenance operations. You will have completed Grade 12 plus some coursework related to the work or an equivalent combination of training and education. You will have considerable knowledge of and direct related experience in streets, construction and maintenance operations. The ability to supervise and assist in the work of a small group of employees, read construction drawings, prepare work records and set up grades are also required along with proficiency in Microsoft and a valid Class 5 BC Driver?s License.
