Island Pharmacy's - Folklife on Gabriola Island is looking to hire a full-time pharmacy assistants to join our team! Computer efficiency and positive attitude are imperative for this position. Experience required for this opportunity. Responsibilities: * intake and dispensing of prescriptions * using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels * ordering medications and medical/pharmacy supplies * maintaining and counting inventory * receiving, loading, and unloading deliveries * selling over-the-counter medicines and front store items * answering customers questions face to face or by phone * preparing, packaging, assembling and labelling medication * handling and processing till transactions * general cleaning and housekeeping * referring problems or queries to the pharmacist or pharmacy manager * additional duties when necessary If commuting By ferry from Nanaimo , ferry and travel time paid. Shifts Mon to Fri 9-530. Sat 10-4. *Wage will be based on experience level and is negotiable.* Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $19.00 per hour Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Every Weekend Experience: * pharmacy assistant: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationGabriola, BC
