*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and strong analytical skills to support the financial health of our organization.
*Duties*
* Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
* Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
* Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payments to employees.
* Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection.
* Conduct bank reconciliation to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies.
* Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and reports.
* Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
* Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
* Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to bookkeeping and accounting.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Sage.
* Strong understanding of account reconciliation processes.
* Experience with payroll management and processing.
* Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures.
* Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately.
* Familiarity with budgeting techniques and financial forecasting.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
* Having restaurant bookkeeping experience is an assest.
