Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and education to young children. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
Duties:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons for young children.
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Monitor and assess children's progress to ensure individualized learning goals are met.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support each child's unique needs.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress.
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily activities.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and implement them in the classroom.
- Demonstrate knowledge of child development and the Ministry of Educations pedagogy for the Early Years, ?How Does Learning Happen? and ELECT, and in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014.
Skills:
- Experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting observations and communicating with parents.
- Excellent English language skills for effective communication with children and adults.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
- Ability to educate and engage young learners in a classroom setting.
Qualifications:
- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educations (preferred).
- Valid CPR-C and First Aid Certificate.
- Experience working in a childcare setting.
