We are currently seeking a *Corporate Controller* to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of monthly financial statements, supporting senior leadership, contributing to ambitious business development activities, and ensuring strict compliance with financial policies.
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, you will work closely with the accounting team in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Your adaptability, strong leadership, and communication skills will be essential as you collaborate with the different teams across the Plant, Farm, and Office.
*Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: *
* Responsible for the preparation of all monthly financial statements
* Support the activities of the VP Finance, CEO and the accounting team
* Assist with planning and forecasting the annual budget
* Provide financial analysis support, practices and procedures as they relate to finance
* Monitor the financial policies, practices, and procedures of the operation
* Ensure the necessary internal controls are in a place to safeguard the company?s assets and adhere to financial management policies
* Actively involved in the hiring and training process for the accounting team

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to comprehend and translate verbal and written instructions into action
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Strong leadership skills
* High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
* Desire to learn and continuously improve
* Comfortable operating in a complex and rapidly changing company and ability to work effectively in an open-office environment
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and motivated to learn in-house software
*Education and experience*
* Post secondary education with a degree or diploma in accounting
* 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience
* CPA designation or enrolled in the Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) Designation Program
* Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
* Experience with SAP B1 is considered an asset
* Experience working in a multi-currency environment is considered an asset
* Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
This is a full-time, year-round position located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island commencing as soon as possible.
Travel requirements: up to 10%.
