Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Noisy. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Inspect electrical and avionics systems. Install aircraft instruments. Ensure that the installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety. Overhaul aircraft instruments. Repair and overhaul, modify, install and test aircraft electrical systems and equipment. Test electrical, electronic and instrument components. Troubleshoot communications, navigation, and autoflight equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, install and inspect aircraft systems and components. Perform and document routine maintenance. Interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions. Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports. Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Avionics Mechanic Trade Certification. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence (AME) - E. Avionics Systems Endorsements. CAMC Aircraft Maintenance Technician Certification. Aircraft experience: Small piston airplane. Large piston airplanes. Small turboprops. Small piston helicopter. Small turbine helicopter. Glider. Type of industry experience: General aviation. Repair and overhaul facility. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Aircraft maintenance - general. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Driver's validity licence check.
