What You Will Do:Be a member of a team that provides a strong training program and foundation to advance your career in a variety of areas (Agronomy, Operations, Management, Leadership, etc.)Work and interact directly with canola seed growers in the summerPerform responsibilities associated with general plant operations from receiving seed to shipping packaged seed at the Lethbridge PlantOperation of various types of plant equipment such as sizing, gravity operation, spiral separators, seed treatment applicators, packaging equipmentConditioning activities such as cleaning and sizing, treating, packaging, palletizing, wrapping, and samplingCould involve process orders, tag printing, grading, data entry and documentation of government recordsShipping/receiving, interplant movement, rework, warehousing, and inventory management of bagged and bulk seed, including the safe operation of forkliftsHarvest activities from receiving to storageCompliance with Work Instructions and Quality Plan requirementsRepair and maintenance on plant equipment as requiredVarious other duties as applicable, which will give you exposure and knowledge to a variety of areas of our businessEducation:You possess a High School Diploma or equivalent OR are willing and able to obtain your GED within one (1) year of hire as a condition of employmentWhat Skills You Need:0-2 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or related fieldYou possess a valid ?Class 5 Driver?s LicenseYou are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and liftingYou possess good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customersYou uphold health and safety to the highest standard! You consistently help others and demonstrate adherence to safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every dayYou understand that delivering to our customers on-time keeps us viable and are willing and able to work a rotating shift and overtime hours, which include nights and weekends during seasonal peaks to support production demand?What Makes You Stand Out:Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree in Agriculture, Manufacturing, Operations, or related fieldExperience in light industrial, manufacturing, field production/farming, seed cleaning and handling, or warehouseKnowledge of farming, production agriculture and production plant operationsWork Authorization and Relocation:VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this positionThis position does NOT offer a comprehensive domestic relocation package?Site Dedicated (100% at Corteva location):This role will be on-site at our Corteva location
