Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Broiler and other meat-type chicken production. Outdoors. Confined spaces. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Wet/damp. Livestock. All weather conditions. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses. Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Feed and tend animals. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Write daily basic progress reports. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system. Tractor. Farm truck. Loader. Manure spreader. Skidsteer. Hand tools. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
