We are a compounding community pharmacy situated in the heart of Orleans, Ontario
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated pharmacy technician to join our team.
As a pharmacy technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacist and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy. This position offers a dynamic work environment, diverse responsibilities, and opportunities for professional development.

*Responsibilities:*
1. Medication Dispensing: Accurately and efficiently dispense medications by counting, measuring, and packaging prescriptions according to procedures.
2. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining pharmacy inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
3. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patients with prescription inquiries, medication recommendations, and insurance questions. Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and interpersonal skills in all interactions.
4. Prescription Processing: Receive and review prescription requests, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy computer system with attention to detail and adherence to privacy regulations.
5. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, medication safety standards, and best practices. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay informed about industry developments and regulatory changes.
*Qualifications:*
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
*- MUST have a Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) from an accredited program (e.g., PTCB or NHA)*
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with Fillware Pharmacy software
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
- A high level of professionalism is required for this position as you will be interacting with patients and healthcare professionals on a daily basis
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 ? 30 per week
