The company is committed to ensuring workers go home safe each and every day. *Summary:* Reporting to the site Foreman, the Pipe Layer is responsible for installing new sewer and water pipes and fittings. *Job Duties Responsibilities:* * Cut, lay, align, and cover pipes for storm and/or sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains * Load, unload, and transport construction materials * Maintain a clean and safe environment by general clean-up of site and equipment * Report any equipment hazards or issues * Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations * Other duties as assigned *Requirements:* * 1-2 years of pipe laying is required * Valid driver?s license with good driver?s abstract; class 3 is considered an asset * Understanding local plumbing codes and regulations is an asset * Able to read and understand blueprints is an asset * Willing and able to work out-of-town/province, 21-day shifts with 7 days off * Physically capable of performing the duties of the position; standing, sitting, lifting, etc. for long periods of time * Work in various weather conditions (hot/humid weather, rain, snow, winter, etc.) * Strong teamwork and communication skills * Strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills * Safety-first attitude * Provide: Hard hat, High Vis Vest, CSA approved Steel-toed safety boots *Benefits:* * Benefits after 3 months * Company matching RRSP contributions after 3 months * Competitive wages * Room for growth and advancement We thank all applicants, however, only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.
