Job Description
?This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineering Technician at Coding Metrology Inc. The Technician will be responsible for technical drawing, troubleshooting, mechanical engineering, and CAD tasks primarily related to the inspection and analysis of mining equipment components. This position reports to the President and
Qualifications / Requirements
* Must be authorized to work in Canada at time of application, we cannot provide any sponsorship at this time
* Ability to read and evaluate engineered drawings of mechanical equipment and understand engineering principles
* Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies in Autodesk Fusion
* Knowledge of CAD software (including AutoCAD 2D and/or Inventor)
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to plan, organize and work independently as well as part of a team
* Excellent written and spoken English and communication skills
* Advanced skills with MS office applications (notably excel)
* Experience in metrology services or similar industry
* Associate's degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
*Responsibilities*
* Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems and components using AutoCAD and other engineering software.
* Conduct analysis and testing of mechanical systems to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications.
* Collaborate with engineers and project managers to support manufacturing and construction processes.
* Maintain accurate documentation and schematics for projects while utilizing Microsoft Office tools for reporting.
* Troubleshoot and debug mechanical issues, providing timely solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Beneficial Attributes
* Macro script writing experience
* Fluency in Spanish or French
* Knowledge of mineral processing or similar equipment experience
* Polyworks software expertise or point-cloud inspection software processing experience
* Use of Metrology Software, such as Mevn stack software Dev, CAD, FARO scene, if no Polyworks experience
* Mechanical design abilities an asset
* Familiarity with GD&T
* Though 2+ years work experience in a Mechanical Engineering or Metrology Technician role is preferred, it is not required.

Pay: $35,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
