As one part of this comprehensive program, all staff as well as their dependents have access to free and confidential supports through our Employee and Family Assistance Provider (EFAP), in addition to many other program components.<p> <p>About the Role <p>Reporting to the Principal of Continuing Education and the Continuing Education Coordinator, the Continuing Education Secondary Programs/Progressions and Summer School Specialist will work in collaboration with school and system staff to lead the operationalization of Continuing Education Summer Programs and Secondary non-credit programs. The incumbent is responsible for the development, promotion, marketing, communication, and coordination of these programs with the relevant parties to enhance student outcomes. The Specialist will work in collaboration with IT staff to develop/implement solutions in Student Information Systems to ensure data accuracy, continuity, and confidence in Continuing Education programs.<p> <p>Duties include but are not limited to: <p><p> Operationalizing Continuing Education Summer Programs and Secondary non-credit Programs (Student Information Systems, marketing, communication, data collection and reporting) - Lead the coordination and execution of administrative tasks for GSN Summer programs, ensuring smooth processes and effective communication with relevant parties, accurate data and funding.<p> <p> <p> Support CE Coordinator and Principal - Function as backup to the CE Coordinator in operational tasks, ensuring continuity in program delivery and departmental functions across all CE Programs.<p> <p> <p> Collaborating with Secondary Schools on program development - Build relationships with secondary schools to create and implement Grade 9 Orientation programs, Literacy/Numeracy gap-filling initiatives, EQAO Math and OSSLT Preparation, and additional supports for English Language Learners (ELLs).<p> <p> <p> Liaising with Student Success and ESL leads - Work closely with school leads to identify student needs and develop/match Continuing Education (CE) programs that support academic progress and the transition from Secondary to CE programs.<p> <p> <p> Communicating feedback and developing new programs - Gather feedback from schools and collaborate with the CE Principal and CE Coordinator to refine or create new programs that support HWDSB?s Multi-Year Strategic Plan.<p> <p> <p> Other duties as assigned <p><p> <p>Qualifications: <p><p> Post-secondary degree/diploma in business, education or a related field is preferred.<p> Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or Project Management Professional is
