*Job Summary*
The Office Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, administration, and management of the school at Jean Marie Joseph School. This includes supervising staff and teachers to ensure the effective delivery of educational programs, supporting student success, and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment. The Office Administrator serves as the primary point of contact between the school, staff, students, parents, and the community, promoting collaboration and upholding Yekooche First Nation's values and educational goals.
*Key Responsibilities*:
* *School Operations*: Manage schedules, events, and facilities while supporting educational programs, including adult education and Headstart initiatives.
* *Staff Supervision*: Mentor and evaluate teachers and support staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure alignment with school goals.
* *Student Development*: Track attendance and performance, implement academic and wellness initiatives, and engage with parents to support student success.
* *Community Engagement*: Build relationships with parents, community members, and partners to enhance education opportunities.
* *Compliance and Reporting*: Ensure adherence to policies, prepare reports, and manage school funding agreements.
* *Resource Management*: Oversee budgets, inventories, and student allowances.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in Education, or related field.
* Experience in educational leadership, ideally within a First Nation context.
* Strong background in staff management, community engagement, and program development.
* Knowledge of First Nation education policies and values.
*Location*: Must reside in Yekooche Community.
*Conditions*: Criminal record clearance, valid BC driver?s license, and active participation in community activities required.
