Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work setting: Urban area. Manufacture. Tasks: Conduct studies to determine optimum inventory levels and utilization of machinery and resources. Plan plant layouts and facilities. Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and procedures. Analyze costs of production. Design and conduct time studies and work simplification programs. Conduct studies on the reliability and performance of plant facilities. Assess industrial facilities. Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs. Supervision: 11-15 people. Area of work experience: Design. Operations or production. Quality assurance or control. Area of specialization: Industrial. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
