*Job Description: Nurse Practitioner ? Pain Clinic*
*Position Summary:*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our multidisciplinary team at Pain Care Clinics in Windsor, a specialized pain management clinic. The Nurse Practitioner will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with acute and chronic pain conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices and a patient-centered approach.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments, including patient history, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests, to determine the nature and severity of pain.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
* Administer or prescribe appropriate interventions, including medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications, to manage pain effectively.
* Perform procedures such as trigger point injections, as appropriate and within scope of practice.
* Educate patients and families about pain management strategies, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
* Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Coordinate care with other specialists, including physiotherapists, psychologists, and other allied health professionals.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
* Participate in clinic meetings, case reviews, and continuing education to stay current with advancements in pain management.
*Qualifications:*
* Master?s or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a valid Nurse Practitioner license.
* Certification in advanced pain management or a willingness to pursue specialized training.
* Previous experience in pain management, or a related field is highly desirable but not necessary as we are willing to train the right candidate to ensure their success.
* Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong patient relationships.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer applications.
*Work Schedule:*
This is a full-time position, with clinic hours ranging from 7am to 5pm. Hours can be negotiated.
