KAFT Professional Corporation is a full-service Chartered Professional Accounting practice (CPA) located in Slave Lake, High Prairie, and Cold Lake. Our practice embodies the maxim of creating wealth for our clients by helping customers grow their businesses, do more with less resources, and save more. As a full-service accounting firm, we do bookkeeping, corporate taxes, personal taxes, and audits among other services. Our staff are highly qualified individuals with several years of small business experience.
Our High Prairie accounting office is seeking an administrator to join our teams. We are looking for a multi-tasker and someone that can handle being under pressure.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform a variety of administrative and clerical office support activities for multiple staff ensuring timely adherence and deadlines
* Courteously receive and screen all incoming calls and emails
* Greet, assist, and direct all visitors in a professional manner
* Review, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and couriers
* Prepare, review, and modify general templates, letters, reports, Word documents, Excel workbooks, and other correspondence materials
* Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
* Create, maintain, and update spreadsheets
* Prepare government payments for clients
* Canada Revenue Agency calls and correspondence
* Bank runs - daily, weekly, and monthly
* Receiving payments and deposits
* Fax, photocopy, and scan documents as required
* Record minutes at various meetings and distribute or archive them accordingly
* Uphold electronic and paper filing systems
* Coordinate and schedule internal and external meetings
* Manage and coordinate multiple calendars
* Maintain and monitor office supply inventory levels and place orders as required
* Develop a thorough understanding of internal programs and processes
* Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
* Additional executive assistant duties, as required
*Skills & Experience*
* Strong communication skills and ability to communicate in person and online
* Ability to prioritize tasks according to urgency
* Completion of a related post-secondary education in administration is an asset
* Knowledge of Alberta corporate registry would be an asset, but not required.
* 2 to 4 years of related administration experience is an asset, but willing to provide on the job training to a successful candidate
* Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, Xero and QuickBooks
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Expected hours: 40 per week
