Andalusia Speech Therapy is hiring a weekend/part-time Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) at our 2191 Gerrard St East location in Toronto! *About Us* Andalusia Speech Therapy is founded by a women of color and encourages diversity and inclusivity in all its practices. The clinic operates in multiple cities across Ontario, offers online therapy throughout Canada, and works as a social enterprise to advocate for human rights and equality from the framework of language and communication. *Our Mission* Help others communicate by providing quality speech therapy to individuals of all ages, economic and cultural backgrounds, and geographical locations, and participate as active members of our communities. *As a CDA, the successful candidate will:* * Provide therapy to pre-school, school aged, teen, and adult clients. We provide services in all areas of speech therapy except for swallowing (caseload: 80% pediatric, 20% adult) * Work under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist * Write therapy progress notes using the EMR system - Jane app * Develop therapy materials for use with individual clients * Collaborate and consult with SLP and other practitioners * Attend weekly mentoring sessions with Clinical Mentor *Experience and Qualifications* * Communication Disorders Assistant Diploma or relevant experience * Member of CDAAC (preferred but not required) * Practical communication skills with colleagues, clients and their families, and third parties * Accepting of respectful feedback to improve clinical practice * Understanding and lived practice of inclusivity * Fluency in another language is considered an asset *Compensation* * New grads start at $34.95 for each 45-minute therapy session (including prep and note time) * $30 travel top-up for in-home visits * Salary commensurate with experience according to company pay range *Why work for us* * Comprehensive mentoring program * Complimentary professional liability insurance coverage * Flexible schedule * Paid sick and mental health days for employees and contractors * Potential transition to Employee status based on working days per week * Education assistance program * Mat leave top up * Unlimited unpaid time off * 2% annual salary increase based on performance * Career growth opportunities * Supportive team environment Andalusia Speech Therapy is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
