*Job Summary:*
The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for coordinating and executing the shipping and receiving of materials, finished products, and other items. This role is critical to ensuring the timely and accurate movement of inventory and goods, supporting production schedules, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Shipping & Receiving:*
* Accurately receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and delivery documentation.
* Prepare products for outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and organizing according to company standards.
* Coordinate shipments with carriers, preparing bills of lading, shipping labels, and other necessary documentation.
*Inventory Management:*
* Track inventory levels and assist in the regular counting and reconciliation of materials and products.
* Report shortages, damaged goods, or other inventory discrepancies to management promptly.
* Organize and store items in the warehouse, ensuring easy accessibility and safety.
*Warehouse Organization & Maintenance:*
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping area.
* Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
* Follow all company safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory guidelines.
*Collaboration:*
* Communicate effectively with production, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure smooth coordination of shipments and inventory flow.
* Support production schedules by ensuring timely delivery of materials and shipping of finished products.
*Qualifications:*
*Experience:*
* Previous experience as a shipper/receiver in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
* Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, inventory control practices, and quality inspection.
*Skills & Abilities:*
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) safely.
* Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management software or the ability to learn quickly.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Certifications:*
* Valid forklift certification.
*Working Conditions:*
* Full-time position; may require overtime or flexible hours depending on shipping schedules.
* Physical work environment with regular lifting, bending, and standing.
* Fast-paced, manufacturing warehouse environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 ? 44 per week
