*Overview* As a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within the community. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens while upholding the law. You will be tasked with patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergencies, and engaging with the community to foster trust and cooperation. *Responsibilities* * Patrol assigned areas to enforce parking laws * Respond promptly to calls for service, including emergencies and non-emergencies. * Conduct investigations into bylaw infractions. * Prepare detailed reports on incidents and investigations. * Engage with community members to build positive relationships and trust. * Testify in court as needed regarding investigations or arrests made. * Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies when necessary. *Skills* * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the public and colleagues. * Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations. * Excellent problem-solving skills to assess situations accurately and take appropriate action. * Knowledge of local laws, regulations, and procedures related to law enforcement. * Commitment to ethical conduct and integrity in all interactions.
