*Real Performance Machinery (RPM)* in both Enderby, BC and Independence, Virginia, is seeking a highly engaged, analytical and detail orientated experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in *Enderby, BC.* The successful candidate will have a ?can do? attitude and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, multitasking, and working as part of a collaborative team across multiple businesses.
*Primary Responsibilities and Duties: *
Reporting to Peak North America?s CFO*, *primary responsibilities will include but are not be limited to:
* Execute comprehensive full cycle accounting functions, including a meticulous review of Accounts Payable/Receivable and payroll;
* Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and provide essential support in accounting;
* Handle government remittances, post adjustment entries, and promptly address inquiries from the finance team;
* Play a vital role in month-end and year-end financial activities, leading financial reporting, and consolidations, and creating year-end working papers;
* Lead financial analysis, create intricate financial models, and actively contribute to cash flow management, costing, and inventory management;
* Assist with preparing year-end financial reporting package and providing detailed analysis to the management team;
* Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, discuss with supervisor to develop resolutions;
* Provide coverage for finance team vacation absences;
* Work closely & collaboratively to develop and maintain relationships with clients, finance and operations team members;
* Other duties as requested.
*Education & Experience*
* Minimum Bachelor?s degree in Accounting and/or Finance;
* Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation considered an asset;
* Public accounting experience an asset;
* 5+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or accountant position;
* Knowledge and application of ASPE and GAAP accounting policies and practices;
* Must have strong computer skills and experience, M/S Office, SAGE, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and management information systems experience and aptitude essential;
* Attention to detail, organization and numeracy skills are essential;
* Honesty; integrity, transparency and reliability essential;
* Critical thinking, problem-solving skills and analytical skills necessary;
* Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems;
* Proficient in MS Office programs including Word and Outlook, with advanced skills in MS Excel;
* Self-motivated individual with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team-oriented setting;
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* Demonstrated ability to problem solve and take initiative.
