<p>YORK CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD <p>Invites applications for the position of: <p>Psychologist / Psychological Associate <p>One Permanent Full-Time (1.0 FTE), <p>Two Temporary Full Time (1.0 FTE) & <p>One Temporary Part Time (0.6 FTE) <p>Temporary Positions effective: August 26, 2024 to June 27, 2025 <p>OSSTF <p>Salary (Permanent): $85,896 to $116,840 per annum<p>Salary (Temporary): $52.21to $71.02 per hour (plus vacation pay)<p>Position Summary : <p>As registered members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, Psychologists/Psychological Associates provide assessment and consultation services for students presenting with academic, learning, social, emotional and/or behavioural challenges. <p>Psychologists/Psychological Associates support school personnel, students and their families to promote learning, mental health, and wellbeing. <p>Major Responsibilities: <p><p> Conduct psychological assessments of students presenting with academic, learning, social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties to assist in the provision of educational services.<p> Provide consultation services on the intellectual, social and emotional development of students to Board staff and parents.<p> Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, resource staff and parents/guardians regarding students with learning, personal adjustment or developmental concerns for the purpose of program planning.<p> Communicate and liaise with relevant professionals, including private practitioners and agencies, to ensure a coordinated effort in supporting the needs of students.<p> Respond to school crises, including attending threat assessments or support with tragic events, as requested by the Lead and Manager (Psychological Services) or the school administrator.<p><p>Qualifications and Experience: <p><p> Masters Degree or PhD in Applied Psychology (School, Clinical, Counselling) with a focus on adolescents and children<p> Registered with the College of Psychologist of Ontario, or eligible for registration<p> 4 - 5 years experience in a school environment administering assessments with children and adolescents preferred<p> Valid Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle<p><p><p>Interested applicants may apply through the Careers page, Management & Professional https://www.ycdsb.ca/careers/<p><p><p>Thank you for your application.<p>We appreciate your interest in the York Catholic District School Board, however, only applicants selected to continue to the interview process will be contacted by Human Resources.<p>Commitment to Equity<p> YCDSB is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing an environment of diversity and employment equity and is dedicated to creating a workplace culture of inclusiveness that reflects the diverse communities that we serve.<p>We are proud to have built a culture that thrives on idea-sharing and collaboration, always finding ways to continue to create a warm, welcoming and inclusive work environment.
