*Job Summary* The Star of the North Retreat House is seeking one part-time Lead Housekeeper, for 24 ? 30 hours weekly. The facility has 56 bedrooms ? 22 double bedrooms, 28 single bedrooms and 6 suites with bathroom ensuites. Weekly cleaning includes: · vacuuming, dusting, and deep cleaning of bedrooms, hallways, and sitting areas used by groups and individuals, with turnovers for new groups. · Ongoing deep cleaning of up to 9 public washrooms with showers, and some tubs. Regular checking with care and attention to providing washroom products as needed. · Vacuuming hallways, sitting areas, and caring for plants throughout the house. · Keeping order in storage, linen and towel closets. · Weekly laundry gathering for outside commercial laundry collection, and other in-house laundry duties. *Job Type / Category* Hours required for Lead Housekeeper are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, 9am ? 4pm with extra days as needed. Start date: Dec 16, 2025 *Required Education, Skills and Qualifications* The role includes team oversight of overall housekeeping to ensure a healthy, clean and beautiful environment for all areas of the facility. The oversight, planning and care includes working with contracted or volunteer assistance for annual cleaning carpets, windows, and other large-scale cleaning. Honest, hard-working, team oriented, organized, welcoming and hospitable, fluent in English with good communication skills to work with other housekeeper/s, facility maintenance, staff team, and volunteers, are necessary qualities for these roles. *Company Profile* For 65 years, Star of the North Retreat Center has been providing sacred space and hospitality for group retreats, workshops, seminars and conferences, and offering programs for spiritual retreat and renewal.
