Our client is looking for a *forklift mechanic *with experience in material handling or aerial lift. *Job Duties * * First point of contact on all equipment-related issues, both on-site and off-site * Develop and perform routine maintenance of forklift equipment * Correctly diagnose faults or malfunctions and inform management of extent and possible costs of repair * Perform maintenance of engines, engine overhauls, brakes, and various other equipment parts *Perform on-site repair and maintenance services* * Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functioning * Conduct weekly inspections and repairs of all vehicles and equipment, including on-site maintenance, if needed * Maintain inventory of working tools and provide suggestions on improvements and/or changes * Complete test and maintenance reports * Maintain clean work areas Employment *Requirements * * Secondary School Diploma * Valid Driver?s License * *At least 2 years of experience in forklift maintenance, with excellent understanding of engine overhauls, brakes, shift transmissions, and other blueprint specifications* * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Good English speaking and writing skills Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm (some overtime may be required) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime Ability to commute/relocate: * Concord, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Experience: * forklift mechanic: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Journeyman (preferred) * Driving License (preferred) Willingness to travel: * 50% (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationConcord, ON
