Position Title: Project ManagerPosition Type: Temporary - Full-Time Position Location: Toronto HQ Grade: Grade 06 Requisition ID: 31625 The Global Marketing Innovation function works on large strategic projects with the objective of driving innovation synergy and scale across the different McCain business units around the world. The Global Marketing function is part of McCain's Global Growth & Strategy group and is led by the Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer. This role is being hired to support two large global strategic innovation initiatives that are expected to drive a meaningful impact to the organization and sizeable volume for the business units around the world. Please note: This is a 12- Month contract, working directly for McCain Foods.The Project Manager, Global Innovation Strategic Initiatives will be a key member of these two large scalable projects. They will be responsible for the projects management tasks and supporting the execution across markets. The role will be accountable for structuring workstreams, building project plans, monitoring progress, tracking metrics/KPIs, communicating project status to key stakeholders, proactively mitigating or managing risks, and ensuring project deliverables are delivered on time with a high level of quality. This role will interface with both Global and Regional Leadership Teams and will be responsible for providing regular progress updates on key initiatives supporting the Global strategic initiatives. The candidate will have a record of having managed complex programs, demonstrating an ability to manage cross functional stakeholders, have strong communication skills and a solid understanding of product development processes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage, maintain, and communicate progress across the two global innovation strategic initiatives Structuring workstreams and building project plans to achieve project objectives.Milestone mapping inclusive of looking at different routes to market for different regionsOversight of programs, with multi-year platforms and workstreamsCross-functional leadership, monitoring progress and tracking key metrics to hold the team accountable to their deliverables and ensuring they are delivered with a high level of quality.Proactively managing/mitigating risk throughout the projectProvide regular status updates to program sponsors and project TeamEnsure program meetings have clearly defined agendas, objectives, and outputsPrepare content for presentations for various audiencesCreate dashboards to communicate progress towards program goals and KPIsMEASURES OF SUCCESS:Project Management Skills: identification and management of stakeholders, milestone development and progress tracking, risk mitigation, detailed action planning, and change managementKnowledge of project management practices and tools; PMP certification is an assetExcellent communication skills to effectively articulate program status, including escalations and risks, to various audiencesAbility to prepare and deliver presentations to Senior Leadership in a concise, effective, and professional mannerAbility to influence others without direct authority over themProven capability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships across global and regional functions; highly developed interpersonal skillsStrong ability to "think big and plan ahead" and anticipate issues before they ariseGreat organizational skills, including the ability to prioritizeStrong problem solving and analytical skills to proactively address and mitigate issuesAbility and comfort in dealing with ambiguityA high sense of urgency and professionalism when taking on new opportunities with the ability to make recommendationsStrong process knowledge, detail oriented with an ability to simplifyKEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:Practical experience in food innovation is a MUSTStrong organizational skills combined with experience in program management and tracking is required.
